Hi everyone! We’re back and well and truly in the Christmas Spirit with an affordable DIY Christmas gift idea… A gorgeous pamper hamper for under £20! It’s a thoughtful gift that you can tailor to the recipient and to your budget.
We decided to go for what we consider to be pamper night essentials, so we started with a Christmassy bubble bar for a cosy bath. We opted for The Christmas Penguin from Lush as it’s super cute and festive and we’re huge Lush fans, but there are more affordable alternatives like the Flutter bath bomb from Superdrug for only £1.
The next thing we got was the mini Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub, it’s worth checking out the miniatures section for lots of pamper hamper options, Boots do a 3 for 2 offer on their miniatures.
What’s a pamper night without a candle? In keeping with the Christmas theme we opted for the Sparkling Cranberry one from Matalan. This was the priciest thing we chose but it is something that your loved one can use again and again and it smells beautiful and so festive.
A face mask is another pamper night essential for us. We chose a Charcoal & Willow Bark sheet mask from Boots.
We popped in some fluffy socks as there’s nothing like putting on a fresh cosy pair after a bath. We got a pack of 2 from Primark.
Lastly, we went for a little Christmassy bar of galaxy and a chocolate spoon from Whittard. You stir it into hot milk to make a delicious hot chocolate, it even comes with a little bag of marshmallows. You could swap this for a mini bottle of wine if whoever you’re buying for likes a tipple.
There are various ways you could package your hamper. You could wrap everything individually and put it all in a gift bag or wrap up a cardboard box in Christmassy wrapping paper. We decided to get a glittery festive box from Card Factory and fill it with snowflake tissue paper to match. Another bonus from this present is the box – they can keep it for storing their things like make up or bath products!
Movie Lover – DVD, jammies and popcorn
Girl About Town – Lip gloss, miniature Prosecco, lashes and foldable pumps
Sweet Tooth – loads of different types of sweets
Party Prep – Exfoliator, girly razor, fake tan, mitt, lashes and nail polish
…the list is endless!
For an extra thoughtful and personal addition you could even make up a Spotify playlist of their favourite songs to match the theme of the hamper and write out a little card with the name of the playlist – then they can listen to some relaxing music in the bath or some party tunes while they get ready to go out!
We’re going to give our pamper hamper to our friend Sarah who has a new baby and definitely deserves a relaxing pamper night – we know she will love it.
The prices and links to all of the products we bought are listed below. We hope you enjoyed this post, if you have any other ideas please feel free to share them in the comments and maybe someone else will take inspiration from you! Also, if you think this is a great idea that you’re going to make up for your loved one this Christmas, please tell us – we’d love to know!
